Make MultiExcerpt Asset categories mandatory

In order to keep an organized structure of MultiExcerpt Assets within your system, categories are a powerful tool to arrange them into different topics, departments, products or any other kind of supporting structure.

Make categories mandatory

As a system administrator you have the option to force the users to use categories by making them mandatory for all MultiExcerpt Assets throughout the system.

In order to make categories mandatory go to: Confluence settings (administration backend) - ADMINISTRATION ASSET MANAGEMENT - Configure categories:

 

  1. Click on the “Make categories mandatory” checkbox

Categories are now mandatory systemwide.

2. Go to a confluence page and add a MultiExcerpt Asset

You now have to choose a category in order to be able to save and publish your MultiExcerrpt content Asset.
